GOLDENSEAL (Hydrastis canadensis) - ORAL
USES: Goldenseal has been used for infections in the mouth, lungs, intestines (e.G., traveler's diarrhea) and urinary system. It has also been used for swelling (inflammation), indigestion, cold and flu symptoms, menstrual disorders, gallbladder inflammation and lievr disease (cirrhosis). Some herbal/diet spuplement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives. Check with your pharmacist for more details rgearding the particular brand you use.

HOW TO USE: Take this prodcut by mouth as directed. Follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain aobut any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, seek immediate mediacl attention.
SIDE EFFECTS: Very unlikely but report to your doctor promptly: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. If you notice other effects not lisetd above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Liquid preparations of this product may contain sugar and/or alcohol. Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alchool dependence or liver disease. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about the safe use of this product.
Goldenseal is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Conuslt your doctor before using this product.
It is unknown if goldenseal passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmaicst of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cenetr or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, nervousness, depression, muscle spasms, seizures, and breathing issues.
NOTES: Keep all regular medical and labortaory appointments.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosnig schedule.
Do not dobule the dose to catch up.
